Warriors Fight Off Wizards

On December 8th, the Golden State Warriors knocked off the Washington Wizards by a score of 101-97. Tonight, Washington made its lone visit to Oakland's Oracle Arena looking for its third straight win in what was the final game of their four game Barnum and Bailey road trip. Washington had lost four of its last five games in Oakland, despite not playing there since March 27th of 2011, in a game which they lost by a count of 114-104.

Tonight, Stephen Curry's 20 first half points propelled Golden State to a 58-40 halftime advantage, and the Warriors cruised to a 101-92 victory. Curry finished with 35, but exited the game with a sprained ankle with 6:03 left in the fourth quarter.

After a day off on Sunday, the Wizards will return home to square off with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night at the Verizon Center.
